Acers Deliver Strong Performance at Sagicor Junior Tennis Tournament- Trinidad
The Acers Tennis Academy recently returned from an outstanding showing at the Sagicor Junior Tennis Tournament hosted by the Tennis Patrons Academy in Trinidad. The young athletes represented Saint Lucia with pride, grit, and talent, bringing home medals and gaining valuable international experience.

In the Boys Under-10 division, Kimari Felix delivered an inspiring performance. Though he narrowly missed the title, finishing as runner-up, his journey to the final was nothing short of remarkable. Just one year ago, Kimari didn't qualify for the main draw, this year, he stormed through the competition to the championship match. His growth and determination were evident throughout the tournament, and we are incredibly proud of his progress.
In the Boys Under-12 category, Riley Smith battled his way to the semifinals, where he fell in a nail-biting match that ended in a 10–7 tiebreak. Despite the narrow loss, Riley didn't leave Trinidad empty-handed. He teamed up with fellow Acers athlete Kimari Felix to claim gold in the doubles event, a significant accomplishment for the team and a proud moment for the Academy.
In the Boys Under-14 finals, Denney Estava faced off against Novak Malcolm of Tobago in a fiercely contested match. Despite giving it his all, Denney fell just short of the title. Nonetheless, his advancement to the final and the level of tennis he displayed were commendable and reflective of the hard work he has put in.

While Skai Sammy and Vernon Justin did not make it past the preliminary stages, their participation was no less important. The experience of playing in such a high-level tournament provided valuable insight and motivation, serving as a wake-up call and a learning opportunity for future competitions.
Special thanks go out to Coach Ajaunie Scott, who accompanied and guided the team throughout the tournament, and to chaperones Phillisia Joseph and Catherine Morille, whose dedication and care ensured the athletes were well supported on and off the court.
We extend our deepest thanks to The Honourable Kenson Casimir, Minister for Youth Development and Sports, for his continued support of the Acers Tennis Academy. His unwavering belief in the potential of our youth and his personal investment in our athletes have been a driving force behind their development and exposure. Time and time again, Minister Casimir has shown up, not just in words, but in action. His encouragement means the world to our players, and his support continues to open doors and raise the profile of tennis in Saint Lucia. We are truly grateful.
We are also proud to recognize and thank M&C General Insurance and Royalty Pools International for their sponsorship and support of Kimari Felix. These two outstanding companies are no strangers to the Acers family; their commitment to the growth of youth tennis has been consistent and impactful. Their investment in Kimari's journey, both in training and competition, has helped him reach incredible heights, including his recent finals and doubles championship in Trinidad. We are thankful for their partnership, their belief in our mission, and their role in empowering the next generation of Saint Lucian athletes.
The Acers Tennis Academy remains committed to developing young talent and preparing them for regional and international competition. We celebrate our players not just for their victories, but for their growth, perseverance, and sportsmanship on this journey.
